SUNNY VALLEY INTRODUCES NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

15 November 2000 – Sunny Valley Day Care Center announces a new student scholarship program in which all yearly fees are paid for ten selected candidates. The scholarship is endowed by the William and Judith Smith Foundation of Lake Placid, NY. Scholarship applications may be obtained either by visiting the Center’s Admissions Office or by contacting the Office at (315) 234-9876.

Sunny Valley Day Care Center has won national acclaim for its methods in preparing pre-school children to advance into normal kindergarten, or by subscribing to the Center’s fast access regime, advancing directly into first grade. The Center has won many prestigious State and Federal educational awards and citations for being the finest day care facility in 1997 and 1999.

Founded in 1995, by Lillian Gold, a former public school administrator and winner of the Pae Award for Meritorious Teacher of the Year in 1990, Sunny Valley Day Care Center now has an enrollment of 660 students. The William and Judith Smith Foundation was established in 1980, after their death in an airplane crash. The Smith children now administer the foundation and each year select worthy pedagogical institutions to receive scholarships.
